Welcome to the Chino House!
Sometimes it’s Grand Central Station around here with the door constantly letting in the voices of kids and dear friends and people we’re just getting to know.
And sometimes, it’s very quiet and I’m trying to soak up every minute of the calm before the storm.
More often, it’s somewhere in between the two.
My name is Alison and I love to write about books, food, travel, my kiddos and whatever else is on my heart.
I love Jesus. I love my family. And I love to be outside.
A few things that are heaven to me: campfires, my camp chair, crisp mountain air, my zero degree sleeping bag, yoga, super fresh food, fresh bread (from my oven or boulevard bread company), a good book and a little bit of quiet, my kitchen, my mother’s kitchen, cast iron, clean surfaces, organized spaces, the library, my church, the park, the sound of kids laughing and playing outside

Loved your family Christmas card. Thank you so much for sending it! Also have enjoyed reading about your family on this blog! Have a wonderful new year! Love, Becky

Just finished Planting Dandilions! Loved it! Thanks for the recommendation. I’m amazed by how she addressed so many topics that I and many around me can relate to. Must be something about those late 30′s years! It’s been fun to catch up on your family by reading your blog. Happy Summer!
