This past Tuesday I had the opportunity to visit Moss Mountain Farm.

P. Allen Smith and the Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board treated several Arkansas bloggers to a dreamy day of doing a few of my most favorite things:

walking, eating and storytelling.

I’m still soaking it all in.

I met lots of new friends, tasted new recipes, learned all about soybeans and filled my heart with farm stories.

We’re in a frenzy around here getting ready for the holidays!  We head to my sister’s house on odd years.

The picture below is from 2005.  The sweatshirt Cole is wearing is in Simon’s suitcase this time…sigh.

I’m loving this new print from one of my favorite etsy shops, Vol 25.

All of Jessica’s prints are 40% off until September 26 because she’s trying to put together a down payment on a house.  This is a super good deal on these.

I have two of her prints framed at my house and I still smile every time I stop and read them.

What’s catching your eye this week?

I love this new print from vol. 25!  It’s such a good idea to have happy messages all over your house!  At least it helps me a lot!

It’s already super warm here in the Southland, which kinda makes me want ice cream every day.  Super fun print from etsy.

I am in love with this skirt!  Makes me so happy for warm sunny skirt wearing days!  However, it is way out of my price range.

I’m going on my first cruise ever this year to celebrate the birthdays of two precious friends, Sarabeth and Rhonda.  Whitney and I are having a little too much fun planning all the things we are going to wear on the cruise.  These Spring Step wedges from Zappos  look  like cruise wear to me!

My sister put eye makeup on me for the first time in several months while we were in California together.  I hadn’t really noticed the dark circles under my eyes until she covered them up.  Now all of a sudden I see them when I look in the mirror.  Ouch.  This was the little kit she used.

I am super excited to announce the winner of the Hairspray tickets on this rainy Monday morning!

Hairspray opens next weekend at The Rep (Arkansas Repertory Theatre) and will run through May 8th.

The Rep has had an incredible season this year.  Mary Polly and I have seen Hamlet and A Raisin in the Sun and we were blown away by both shows.

We were already anticipating going to Hairspray when we were invited by The Rep and Little Rock Family to attend the Mom and me event that is happening next Saturday afternoon.

There will be lunch.

There will be shopping.

There will be hairspray. (tiny little happy bottles of hairspray)

And there will be a matinee showing of Hairspray.

I am super excited to announce that The Rep is allowing me to give away TWO TICKETS to see the show on Saturday, April 9th at this special event.

Shopping and lunch begin at 12.

The show starts at 2.

Mary Polly and I will be there!  Don’t you want to go with us??

I took the last of Christmas decorations down today.

Finally.

I am now accepting out loud that I am halfway through January and it’s time to stop eating so much.

I always get a little down this time of year, which for some reason leads to wanderlust.

I start dreaming about yanking my kids from school and reading books aloud all day under blankets in a tent somewhere.

I’m thinking about heading out of town in this for a while…

I have a little Merry Christmas Eve gift for ya!
We participated in the Joy Project again this year, which made us laugh a lot throughout December.
For me, the laughing and dancing together as a family is the value of getting out and bringing the joy!

We surprised people with our joyful flash mob dance in many different places around Little Rock, but Taido caught us on video at the mall.

I say us, but mostly he caught Simon and Campbell.

I promise you I will never get tired of watching these guys do this dance!

I have alluded to how much we are LOVING this album at our house right now!
